WHAT ARE
INCREMENTAL COSTS?
The GEF finances the incremental costs of
actions that are necessary
to secure global environmental benefits. Programs in the following focal areas are
eligible for financing:
§ Conserving biodiversity;
§ Mitigating greenhouse gas
emissions;
§ Preventing degradation of
international waters; and
§ Arresting atmospheric ozone
depletion.
