Enhancing navigational
safety in shipping lanes.
Objective:
Enhance the navigational
safety in major shipping lanes to reduce marine pollution by developing and
enforcing vessel standards and other related activities, and prepare an oil
and chemical
spill prevention and contingency plan for the Gulf of Honduras to prevent damages
associated with both operational and accidental discharges at sea, and respond
to accidental
spills.
