ANNOUNCEMENTS

Repeat Announcement: Applications for 2008 Teresa Heinz
Scholars for Environmental Research program now available

The Heinz Family Foundation has announced that applications for the 2008
Teresa Heinz Scholars for Environmental Research program are now
available. The program seeks to enrich the public's understanding of
emerging environmental issues. Its goal is to provide effective solutions for
environmental problems. Specifically, the program provides enhancement
support for doctoral dissertation and master's thesis (or project) research. A
total of 16 one-time, one-year awards are offered annually. Historically,
Cornell students have been highly successful in winning these yearly
awards. The Center for the Environment assists the Heinz Family
Foundation with proposal evaluations after they have been directl! y
submitted to the Foundation. Application materials must be postmarked by
January 31, 2008. Read more on the CfE website. Application available on
