Definitions
z GPA defines land-based sources of marine
pollution as: Municipal, industrial or agricultural
sources, both fixed and mobile, on land,
discharges which reach the marine environment
from outfalls and runoff, through rivers and
canals and via the atmosphere.
z Wastewater in the Pacific SAP includes: liquid,
human and industrial waste and stormwater
(runoff caused by rainfall) in rural as well as
