Subject: Confirmation of allocation of funds for the project "Reducing Environmental
Impacts of Agriculture in the Prespa Region" to contribute as co-financing for the
UNDP/GEF: Integrated Ecosystem Management in the Prespa Lakes Basin of Albania,
FYR-Macedonia and Greece.


Dear Mr. Pinto,

In the framework of the regional initiative "Reducing Environmental Impacts of Agriculture
in the Prespa Region", I hereby confirm that UNDP Bratislava Regional Center has allocated
$110,000 to Albania and Macedonia respectively, in total $220,000 (in-cash) for national and
regional activities in the Prespa region.

This commitment is in line with the regional activities and a part of the strategic partnership
with UNEP, OSCE and NATO in the "Environment and Security Initiative", as described in the
Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2003.
