Task 1.3. Survey and mapping for both project areas in scale 1:1000, the layout of inland border dikes with approximately length 5 538 m for Belene Island
Accomplished activities
Preliminary preparation
· Data extraction from the project according p. 3 for tracing of the right of way and data converting from coordinate system 1970 into coordinate system WGS 84
Tracing data are extracted from the project for the tracing needs and according to the methodology of the implementation – using GPS receivers.
The outlay axis is parceled out. The tops of the received broken line are numerated like points of the axis. Co-ordinations (X and Y) are determinate for every point.
The project is a digital type and the data are determinate by analytic way and they are with high accuracy. The data are in coordinate system 1970 – zone K-7. Afterwards they are transformed in WGS 84 and they are traced.
Survey of the surface of the strip of land (100 х 5538m) in scale1:1000
The surveys are done in period: 15-30 April 2003
Team:Eng. Valentin Iovev
Eng. Vladimir Trenev
Supporting staff – 3 persons
The geodetic instrument Total station Topcon GTS 6 is used.
The TS has the following parameters: angular accuracy 10¢¢ and length 2mm+2ppm, memory – 2000 points, dual compensator, water- and dust-resistant – IPX 4.
The processing of the surveys and final product are prepared in period: 6-20 May 2003
Team:Eng. Radoslav Pavlov
Eng. Vladimir Trenev
The points from Secondary geodetic CONTROL NETWORK are used as outlet points for the mapping of the surface of the strip of land. This points are: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 total: 9 points.
The points are evenly distributed in pairs in distance 200-300 m through approximately 1,5 km. One from every pair is used for outlet and the other – for reference point in surveying of the traverse and it is closed after 1,5 km in the other two traverses. All four points have known co-ordinates and the strictly alignment of the intermediate points from the traverse is achieved. These points compose “surveying basis”.
The detailed points characterizing terrain or situational elements of the area are mapped according the above-mentioned points. The detailed points compose the elements of the map object to the present task.
The processing of the surveys is prepared with TPLAN product. The drawing up of the maps is realized with AutoCad LDD.
Some parameters of the prepared area maps:
The whole digital model of the mapping area is divided in accordance to the standard for scale 1:1000 to the separate map sheets with measurements: 80x50 cm. This is done for convenience. The map sheets are 8 numbers (see the scheme for the map sheets).
Framed and unframed forming is standard for a cadastral sheet in scale 1:1000.
Coordinate system 1970
Elevation system – Baltic
The area is included in zone К-3 and К-7 (parameters for K-7 are used)
2. Review and specifying the methodology and approach for task implementation
The mapping of these areas is carried out by geodetic total stations (TS) with angular accuracy 10¢¢ and length 2mm+2ppm х D (4mm/1km), polar method. This decision is a result from the presence of afforesting in these areas; otherwise difficulties will arise using GPS receivers in real time (visibility to at least 5 satellites at the same time is required for this regime).
Every area originates from the points from Secondary geodetic CONTROL NETWORK. They are compressed with points from the surveying basis accordance the method of “an including traverse”. The traverse is aligned. The points from the traverse get final co-ordinates. From these final co-ordinates the polar mapping method is realized (according to measured angle and distance to the detailed points) using TS. The method guarantees the precision of the detailed points in connection with outlet, situation and high no more that 1-2 cm.
