GEF-PDF TF023823 Amendment Letter to the Grant Agreement
Dear Mr. Secretary General:
Please refer to the above referenced Grant Agreement between the General
Secretariat of the Organization of the American States (the Recipient) and the
International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank), for the benefit of
the Republic of Argentina, the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Republic of
Paraguay, and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, dated June 12, 2000.
Pursuant to your request on this issue, we are pleased to inform you that the
Bank hereby agrees to amend the Grant Agreement so as to increase from US$80,000 to
US$180,000 the authorized allocation for the Special Account.
Accordingly, Attachment II, Section 1 (c) of the Grant Agreement is amended to
read:
"(c) the term "Authorized Allocation" means an amount equivalent to
US$180,000 to be
withdrawn from the Grant account and deposited into the
Special Account pursuant to paragraph 3 (a) of this Attachment."
Kindly confirm your agreement with the foregoing, on behalf of the Recipient, by
signing and dating the two originals of this amendment letter and returning one fully
signed original to us. Once the Bank receives such original, this Amendment Letter
will be deemed effective as of the date of the countersignature.
