UNWAIS+ 1.0 Release Note

AIS+ 1.0 is an important release from a development as well as functional point of view. 3 new sections have been added to the tool - Publications, eTraining and Forums. The existing 'Projects' section has been redone to present data in a intuitive user friendly manner.

Projects

The new search form has provision to search on

  • Keyword Search
  • Theme
  • Organisation
  • Country
The user may choose between an Exclusive(AND) or a Inclusive(OR) Search.

The results of search is presented to the user in a sortable , navigable table.
There is provision to further filter the search results. The clear button clears the filter criteria.
The columns may be hidden by clicking on the column and unchecking the column from the list.
The user has the provision to choose the number of rows to be displayed.

The geographical search returns information in geomaps

Publications

The publication user interface displayed the latest 8 publications.

When the user clicks on the Year links, the publications for that year are displayed.

Based on user permissions, the user can add publications via webform.

The user can only update a publication s/he has uploaded. Updating publications are secured against modification from any other user.

eTraining

  • Courses grouped by Categories.Currently 8 categories recognised. Provision to add more in future.
  • Courses to include any content type e.g. pdf, multimedia, images
  • Provision for user interactive course content
  • 360 degree eLearning provisions with the possiblity to add user interactivity through forums, surveys, feedback, quizzes, etc. for each course
  • User with sufficient permission could create and maintain a course

Forums

All registered users can contribute to forums.
There are 'section' specific forums where user can share their thoughts regarding a particular section.
The administrator reserves the right to delete a post, if found inappropriate to the forum.

Known Issues

This section would be updated regularly based on your feedback.
