World's Longest Toilet Queue

This event took place to call world's attention to the sanitation crisis. This global event brought people together to set a Guinness World record and bring the World's attention to the water and sanitation crisis which affects 2.5 billion people. Around 100,000 people in 80 different countries took part including: 30,000 people taking action across Nepal 30,000 children queuing in Nigeria joining the queue in Ouagadougou, Burkino Faso 1,500 in one Queue in Bhopal, India Marginalised groups directly affected by this crisis stood up and took action to get their politicians to solve it. The World's Longest Toilet Queue took place a month before the High-Level meeting on water and sanitation in Washington DC on 23rd April 2010.
